Our Belief

The therapeutic process can help reduce symptoms, overcome challenges and implement healing and positive change. Clients can become more introspective as well as insightful as they gain knowledge and understanding in how they are the authors of their life story.
Ultimately, clients are the experts in their own lives and we can help them in finding meaning, compassion and self-acceptance, free of judgment.

Sherri Williamson, LCPC
You are unique in the experiences you have encountered over many years and should be supported in the specific ways you need. Therapy should never be a one size fit all model. I practice from a trauma focus as well as a psychodynamic perspectives. I help clients reclaim their lives and create healing from painful experiences in the past and present day.
If you are experiencing symptoms that affect your quality of life, I will support you each step of the way on your healing journey. My work with clients includes, but is not limited to: anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, sexual abuse, domestic violence, trauma/complex PTSD as well as relationship challenges, couples/marital struggles, new mothers/parents, family discord, identity issues, life transitions and work /life balance.
I received a Master of Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with a concentration in Latino Mental Health and Multiculturalism. My undergraduate degree is in Social Psychology from DePaul University, where I previously taught as an adjunct instructor.
